Canon EOS 60D Review and Product Description
Little Review
- The good: Very fast; articulated display; excellent video quality and options.
- The bad: Some annoying interface conventions.
- The bottom line: The Canon EOS 60D is in many ways a great camera: fast, feature-packed, and with excellent photo and video quality. Some annoying aspects of its control layout dim its shine a little, however, so try before you buy.

If you are thinking about getting an EOS... Don't this is better. Solid, professional. Amazing pictures and video. Will be buying at least two more. For me and what I shoot, which are live band performances, low light, pictures and video? Out door events, promotions for local businesses... it does everything I need it to do exceptionally well.
Like with all cameras... Get some good glass. Have a post production work flow. Have a reliable rig. But this camera will not be the weak link in your work chain.
Shoots HD 1080p 30/24 fps. Seriously... what else do you need? Has a mic input. HDMI out for a external LCD. USB for remote shooting. Hot shoe. Really, only thing going to replace mine is a 5D.
If you aren't gonna buy a full frame, and you aren't shooting sports or humming birds. This is the best way to go. Price being a factor. You can buy other cameras that will have different features, but I haven't found one that justified being anymore expensive than this one. And even the ones that are cheaper, are missing features that I find necessary for any serious photographer or videographer.
